How we approach shopfront glass
Make-safe first, always
The first priority on a broken shopfront is securing the premises. We board or fit a temporary panel so the site is secure and, in many cases, so you can still trade the next morning while the replacement sheet is fabricated.
Large-format glass, handled properly
Shopfront sheets are heavy and awkward and the installation has to account for that — access, lifting, and the structural opening itself. We plan the install rather than improvising it on the day, which is what keeps a large panel from becoming an incident.
Toughened or laminated
Toughened is standard and strong. Laminated is the better answer where security or repeat break-ins are a concern, because it holds together under impact rather than clearing the opening — an intruder can crack it but cannot easily get through it. For premises that have been hit before, laminated is worth the difference.
Doors and door hardware
Commercial entry doors take enormous cycle counts. Patch fittings, floor springs, closers, pivots and locks all wear out and are all repairable or replaceable without changing the door. A door that no longer closes properly is a security and compliance issue as much as an inconvenience.
Manifestation and safety decals
Large areas of clear glass in commercial premises require visible manifestation so people do not walk into them. We supply and apply compliant decals or banding, and can work with your signage so the safety marking looks intentional rather than tacked on.
