How we approach glass office partitions
Frameless partitioning
Single glazed panels butt-jointed with a clear silicone joint and minimal top and bottom track. The most transparent result and the one that best preserves light. Acoustic performance is moderate — good enough for a manager's office, not for an HR conversation.
Acoustic double-glazed partitions
Two glass lines with an air gap and full perimeter seals. Substantially better acoustic separation, and the right answer for boardrooms, HR, medical consulting and any room where the conversation should not carry. It costs meaningfully more, so it is worth applying it only to the rooms that need it.
Doors and hardware
Frameless glass doors on patch fittings or floor springs, or framed doors within the partition line. Commercial closers, locks and access control integration where required. Door hardware is where a partition fitout is most often let down by cost-cutting.
Privacy without losing light
Applied frosted film, gradient banding, printed graphics and integrated blinds all provide privacy while keeping light transmission. Banding at seated eye height is the common approach and doubles as the safety manifestation the space needs anyway.
Manifestation is not optional
Full-height clear glass in a workplace has to be marked so people do not walk into it. It is a genuine safety requirement, and it is far better designed in as part of the graphics than added afterwards as a strip of dots.
Demountable by design
Partition systems come apart and reconfigure. When a team grows or a tenancy changes, panels can be moved rather than demolished — which is a real advantage over plasterboard for anyone in a leased tenancy.

- A single glazed frameless partition with a properly sealed perimeter gives a reasonable reduction — enough that normal conversation is muffled. It is not confidential. For genuine speech privacy you need a double-glazed acoustic partition with full perimeter seals, and the ceiling above has to be considered too, because sound travels over the partition through the ceiling void.
