Who we are
Clear Vision Glass & Glazing is a glazing business based in Pakenham, Victoria. We cover the full range of residential and commercial glazing — emergency repairs and board-ups, glass replacement in every kind of frame, shower screens, splashbacks, mirrors, balustrades, pool fencing, double glazing, shopfronts and office partitioning.
We work across two municipalities with very different building stocks. West of the freeway, Officer, Clyde North and Cranbourne East are almost entirely new housing — big stacker doors, frameless showers and pool fencing. North and east, the hills around Emerald, Cockatoo and Beaconsfield Upper are older, heavily treed and largely bushfire-prone, which changes what glass is allowed to go into a window before you start. South, around Tooradin and Blind Bight, salt air governs what hardware is worth installing at all.
Knowing that difference is most of the job. A glazier who treats a 1960s steel-framed window in Doveton the same as a 2022 stacker panel in Clyde North is going to get one of them wrong.
What we won’t compromise on
Safety glass goes where the standard says. AS 1288 requires Grade A safety glass in doors, beside doors, in windows less than 500mm off the floor, in bathrooms and around stairs. Plenty of older homes around here have ordinary annealed glass in those positions because someone once replaced it cheaply and matched what was already there. When we re-glaze, it goes back in at the grade the position actually requires — even when that costs more than the quote you were expecting.
We measure on site. Toughened glass cannot be cut, drilled or altered once it has been toughened. If the measure is wrong the panel is scrap. So we measure the real opening rather than working from numbers over the phone, and we template anything that isn’t a simple rectangle.
We check the frame, not just the pane. New glass in a rotted timber sash, a corroded aluminium frame or a sash that no longer squares up will fail again. We look at the whole window and tell you honestly when the frame needs attention first.
We’ll talk you out of work. A sliding door that needs a shoulder is almost always collapsed rollers, not a new door. A window that won’t lock is usually a dropped sash or a worn cam. Fogged double glazing needs a new sealed unit, not a new window. If a small part fixes it we’ll fit the small part — we’d rather keep your number than win one big invoice.

Tell us what happened
Call or send a photo. Most of the time a picture and a rough measurement is enough for us to tell you what it needs and roughly what it costs, without a site visit.
- 02
We make it safe
If something is broken, that comes first — glass cleared out of the frame and off the floor, and the opening boarded or temporarily glazed so the house is secure the same day.
- 03
Measured and made
We measure on site, because openings are rarely the size anyone thinks. Toughened glass can't be cut after the fact, so the measure has to be right the first time.
- 04
Installed and cleaned up
New glass in, beads and seals renewed rather than reused, old glass taken away. If we found something else worth knowing about, you'll hear about it.
